But let’s not be confused: after the protests cease and the campuses clear, very little will have changed. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin recently admitted at a congressional hearing that American soldiers operating Biden’s disastrous “aid pier” for Gaza could come under attack from Islamic terrorists.
   Biden has not sent a single soldier to recover American hostages being held by Hamas, but there are now soldiers in the line of fire in order to send aid to Gaza.
   In the event American forces on the pier come under attack, they would be allowed to fight back, Austin promised. But based on the rules of engagement in Iraq and Afghanistan, all the terrorists have to do is attack from a mosque or from behind civilians, and American soldiers would be banned from fighting back.
   And those are the ways that Hamas tends to attack.

A fate to be avoided if at all possible, but something that must be a last resort if Living In Truth is the most important thing.

The legislature followed improper procedure in drafting and approving the proposed amendment, Doyle said. The state’s constitution requires the legislature to send a draft of the proposal to the New York Attorney General’s office before voting on it.    The compounds were not a form of protest, but of control. They did not arise organically from the student body, but were brought in from the outside. After a police crackdown, like the one at UCLA, there was little sign of any interest in the cause by the random students on campus.
   And that is the difference between an actual student movement and a “Hello Fellow Kids” one.
   Universities allowed Islamic terror states like Qatar and Saudi Arabia to trade money for control.

Palestinian Donors Pour Millions Into American Universities: REPORT   Harvard University, Brown University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania have collectively received nearly $10 million from entities in the Palestinian territories, sometimes with undisclosed identities, between 2017 and 2023, according to a new report by Open The Books. The trio of universities have academic partnerships with universities in Palestine, with professors at one of the institutions praising the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks where Hamas killed approximately 1,200 people.

We must hold our students and universities to a higher standard. We as a nation cannot fund the intellectual beggaring of our children. The first impulse of a proper education should be understanding, not prejudice; it should be sympathy, not destruction. Break up the Hamas villages and defund the universities that spawned them. We must rediscover dialogue and disagreement, point and counterpoint. If we simply play the blame game, the only currency any of us will trade in is hate.

Foolish College Antics Accelerate Downward Spiral Of Higher Education   The “demonstrators” were given pamphlets on how to protest. If you know anything about 18- to 25-year-olds today, they couldn’t organize a one car funeral. They are lemmings, woke and entitled.

Ascension of Christ...

And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He was parted from them, and carried up into heaven." -Luke 24:51

We have no corresponding experience to the events in Our Lord's life after the Transfiguration. From then onwards Our Lord's life' was altogether vicarious. Up to the time of the Transfiguration He had exhibited the normal perfect life of a man; from the Transfiguration onwards - Gethsemane, the Cross, the Resurrection - everything is unfamiliar to us. His Cross is the door by which every member of the human race can enter into the life of God; by His Resurrection He has the right to give eternal life to any man, and by His Ascension Our Lord enters heaven and keeps the door open for humanity.

On the Mount of Ascension the Transfiguration is completed. If Jesus had gone to heaven from the Mount of Transfiguration, He would have gone alone; He would have been nothing more to us than a glorious Figure. But He turned His back on the glory, and came down from the Mount to identify Himself with fallen humanity.

The Ascension is the consummation of the Transfiguration. Our Lord does now go back into His primal glory; but He does not go back simply as Son of God; He goes back to God as Son of Man as well as Son of God. There is now freedom of access for anyone straight to the very throne of God by the Ascension of the Son of Man. As Son of Man Jesus Christ deliberately limited omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience in Himself. Now they are His in absolute full power. As Son of Man Jesus Christ has all power at the throne of God. He is King of kings and Lord of lords from the day of His Ascension until now. ...Oswald Chambers Image
